Family Owned and Operated

Fat Grass Beef Co. is owned by Whatcom County locals, Ben and Lindsey Elenbaas. Ben has been raising beef cattle for decades, together they took that basis and began building something more, as a family, in 2018.

A true family operation you’ll find any of the kids tending the animals, making hay or showing cattle. When not tending to the cattle or working his “day job” Ben can be found supporting the kids and grandkids at their various activities and Lindsey can be found selling real estate.

We’re obsessed with raising healthy cattle in a healthy environment. Our cattle graze on beautiful green pastures that are unique to the Pacific Northwest. We are blessed with an abundance of natural resources and utilize the latest science to produce top-notch cattle. We pay careful attention to the health and genetics of our cattle, ensuring that they will produce the best beef products for you to enjoy.
