DEPOSIT - Your deposit gets you on the schedule. This payment is deducted from the final cost of the beef share.
COST - To streamline the bulk buying process we use a USDA inspected processor and charge 1 flat fee based on the “hanging weight”. This includes your share of the “beef”, vacuum sealed packaging (which allows your beef to last even longer in your freezer - and allows for “quick defrost”) and reasonable delivery.
HANGING WEIGHT - All our share pricing is based on the hanging weight. That is the weight of the share as it hangs BEFORE cut and wrap. The final finished, frozen, in your freezer weight is about 25/30% less.
ORDERING - Use the “shop our beef” tab to pay your deposit. We will secure your date and contact you to collect some basic customization preferences. Once the beef is hung to begin aging, we will send you an invoice to pay the remainder - minus your deposit.
MISCELLANOUS - An average carcass hangs at about 800 pounds (making each half weigh about 200 pounds). This could be a little more, or a little less. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions that you may have.
